Hermitian and quaternionic Hermitian structures on tangent bundles
We review the theory of quaternionic Kähler and hyperkähler structures. Then we consider the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold M with a metric connection D (with torsion) and with its well estabilished canonical complex structure. With an extra almost Hermitian structure on M it is possible to find a quaternionic Hermitian structure on TM , which is quaternionic Kähler if, and only if, D ...
متن کاملAlmost Hermitian structures on tangent bundles
In this article, we consider the almost Hermitian structure on TM induced by a pair of a metric and an affine connection on M . We find the conditions under which TM admits almost Kähler structures, Kähler structures and Einstein metrics, respectively. Moreover, we give two examples of Kähler-Einstein structures on TM . 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 53C55, 53C15, 53C25.
متن کاملHermitian-einstein Metrics for Vector Bundles on Complete Kähler Manifolds
In this paper, we prove the existence of Hermitian-Einstein metrics for holomorphic vector bundles on a class of complete Kähler manifolds which include Hermitian symmetric spaces of noncompact type without Euclidean factor, strictly pseudoconvex domains with Bergman metrics and the universal cover of Gromov hyperbolic manifolds etc. We also solve the Dirichlet problem at infinity for the Hermi...
متن کاملHermitian–Einstein connections on principal bundles over flat affine manifolds
Let M be a compact connected special flat affine manifold without boundary equipped with a Gauduchon metric g and a covariant constant volume form. Let G be either a connected reductive complex linear algebraic group or the real locus of a split real form of a complex reductive group. We prove that a flat principal G–bundle EG over M admits a Hermitian–Einstein structure if and only if EG is po...
متن کاملOn the Existence of Semi-Stable Extensions
In this paper, we describe an open problem in abstract argumentation theory: the precise conditions under which semi-stable extensions exist. Although each finite argumentation framework can be shown to have at least one semi-stable extension, this is no longer the case when infinite argumentation frameworks are considered. This puts semi-stable semantics between stable and preferred semantics....
